The Bible is a collection of books and letters written throughout the history of the Jews and Christians. Most Christian denominations across the world have a defined number of books in their canon. The Hebrew Bible and New Testament sections are the books generally shared by all Christian denominations. The "apocryphal" books listed here are the ones that vary in their canonicity depending on the denomination. This list is based upon the contents of the the King James Bible (until the 20th century, the apocrypha was commonly printed with the Old and New Testaments of the KJV).
